Perth contracting firm MACA has been awarded a $47.9 million contract from Main Road and Rio Tinto.
MACA announced to the market this morning that it has been selected by Main Roads Western Australia as the contractor for the Marble Bar Road upgrade and the North West Coastal Highway, Manilya to Mia Mia section.
Both Projects are construct only and schedule of rates contract, Marble Bar Road upgrade is expected to commence in November 2014 and will extend over a period of 8 months, with the initial contract value being approximately $9.5 million.
With the North West Coastal Highway expected to commence in December 2014 and will extend over a period of 10 months, with the initial contract value being approximately $25.4 million.
Further to the above works MACA Civil has also been awarded the Brockman 2 to Brockman 4 access road for Rio Tinto in the Pilbara region.
The works commenced in August 2014 and will extend over a period of 6 months, with the initial contract value being approximately $13 million.
