The White Range Copper Project, that is located about 40 kilometres southof Cloncurry in north west Queensland, contains a JORC compliant resource totalling 30.2 million tonnes grading at 0.80 percent copper, 0.03 percent of Cobalt and 0.2 grams a tonne of gold.
The feasibility study carried out by DMengineer Pty Ltd, included in it, a review of work previously undertaken by Matrix Metals and included design engineering of the project infrastructure and processing plant. The last feasibility study was handed over to QMC in mid 2013.
The earlier pre-feasibility study showed the White Range Copper Project as having an annual production of between 15,000 and 20,000 tonnes of copper cathode over, at least, a 10 year life of mine. Extensive drilling since that time has significantly increased the economic potential of the project.
Queensland Mining Corporation is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange as a junior mineral resources company that is focused on developing copper and gold projects in the Cloncurry region of north west Queensland. It has identified the White Range Copper project as having a significant resource base on which it will be able to grow and develop the project with the aim of establishing a working mine producing gold and copper. The company holds more than a hundred exploration and mining leases in the Cloncurry area which it believes will facilitate it achieving its long term goals. QMC's aim is to create an early cash flow from the mining of shallow deposits while continuing drilling to prove up larger gold and copper deposits.
