The Duketon gold mining project is located in the Eastern Goldfields region of Western Australia, about 130 kilometres north of the historic gold mining town of Laverton. The project is wholly owned by ASX listed Australian public company, Regis Resources Limited.

The Duketon Gold Project Began Producing Gold in 2010 at Moolart Well

The Duketon project started producing gold from its Moolart Well gold mine in August, 2010, and since that time has produced more than 500,000 ounces of gold at some of the lowest costs of any Australian gold mine. In, 2015, Regis Resources Limited, acquired the Gloster gold deposit, as well as several other satellite deposits, thereby extending the Duketon Project and giving the company confidence that the Moolart Well operation will offer ongoing gold Resource and Reserve growth potential well into the future.

Mining Contractor Mining and Civil Australia, to Expand its Duketon Project Operations

Pre-strip mining started in 2015 at the Moolart Well, Wellington oxide pit, with contractor, Mining and Civil Australia, receiving a letter of intent, to begin open pit mining operations at the surrounding satellite pits that include; Dogbolter, Lancaster, Petra, Anchor and Gloster, although the Gloster development is still awaiting approval at the present time. The Coopers gold prospect is located 11 kilometres south of the Moolart Well mine and just 600 metres north of Dogbolter.

Garden Well is Duketon Projects Second Gold Mine to Begin Gold Production

In August, 2012, Regis Resources, completed the development of its second mine within the Duketon gold project, the open pit Garden Well gold mine, with its own gold processing plant, able to process up to five million tonnes of gold bearing ore a year. The Garden Well mine is approximately 30 kilometres from the Moolart Well operation and has a mining life expectancy of more than seven years. The Tooheys Well gold prospect is located 2.5 kilometres south of the Garden Well mine.

Rosemont became Duketon's Third Producing Mine in 2013

In the September quarter of 2013, the company completed the construction of its third gold mine within the Duketon project, the Rosemont mine. The Rosemont project in situated nine kilometres north west of the Garden Well operation. There has been a crushing and milling circuit constructed at the Rosemont mine and the ore slurry that is produced is then pumped to the Garden Well gold processing plant for further treatment.

The Baneygo gold project, that is situated 12 kilometres to the south of the Rosemont mine, is known to contain gold hosted by quartz dolerite, very similar to the Rosemont deposit. This project remained at the drilling stage during 2015. Another deposit, the Idaho gold prospect, has been discovered 2.2 kilometres north along strike from the Baneygo Beacon open pit. This deposit is the continuation of the mineralisation at Baneygo

During the June quarter of 2014, Regis Resources Limited, finished the construction of extra leaching facilities and associated infrastructure, at the Garden Well gold processing plant. This work was carried out in order to maximise gold recovery from both the Rosemont and Garden Well ores that were being processed at the wet plant at a rate of more than seven million tonnes of ore annually.
