Universal Cranes Pty Ltd is a privately owned company that was founded in 1993 in Clontarf, Queensland where we began with our small fleet of three franna cranes. Throughout the years the company experienced significant growth that enabled us to open six new branches and we quickly built a reputation as a reliable and innovative company within the Australian construction industry.

We offer a casual crane hire service, however we specialise in comprehensive lifting solutions for technical lifts with a high degree of difficulty. Through our focus centred around demanding and challenging heavy lifting, we have been engaged in a variety of projects that include ongoing wind farm work in South Australia, installation of bridge beams for Theiss in the Hunter Valley, conveyor lifts for Cadia and module superstructure lifts onto RAN ships and BAE systems.

Universal Cranes carry a hydraulic crane fleet range of 7T to 450T, crawler crane range of 50T to 600T, along with transport and heavy lifting equipment. We are proud partners of Lifting Skills, a training institute that offers courses in rigging, dogging, scaffolding, crane operation and other fields of construction.

Heavy lift services offered through Universal Cranes include ñ demolition and salvage, mine and refinery projects, machinery relocation, rigging and steel erection, wind farm projects, shut down operations, bridge and civil construction, factory relocation, concrete tilt panel erection and oversize / heavy transport anywhere in the country.
