Straits

A mining and exploration company operating in Australia and Asia, focusing on gold and copper.

Straits was formed through the de-merger of Straits Resources (now renamed International Coal Holdings) and was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in 2011.

Straits operate the Tritton copper mines in NSW with other exploration projects in NSW and SA, including Blayney, Temora and Yandan gold project in Qld.

Mining within Tritton first commenced in 1992 at the Murrawombie open pit as part of the Girilambone copper mine and involved the mining of several copper oxide ore deposits.
