The company first established as A1 Minerals Ltd in 2003 but due to poor mining performance in 2010 and 2011 Stone Resources Ltd became a new major share holder and later the company changed its name from A1 Minerals to Stone Resources Australia.

Operating in the Laverton Region of Western Australia, mining gold on its southern lease on the Brightstar project.
