Sharps Heavy Equipment Repairs was established by Graham Sharp in 1993, with experience in Diesel Heavy Equipment he saw the demand for repairs and servicing of heavy equipment and machinery in the mining industry.

Sharps field service provides break down maintenance for all types of mining equipment and machinery including but not limited to Caterpillar, Komatsu and Hitachi. Sharps caters labour hire for short or long term hire, including on-site supervisors, diesel fitters and boilermakers.

The large workshop based in Mackay Qld is fitted out with state of the art welding equipment and has seven days a week coverage to ensure quick turnaround on all projects. It comprises of a boilermakers workshop and is fully air-conditioned to prevent contamination for engines and components and is large enough† to carry out complete machine overhauls and rebuilds.

In 2007 Sharps opened another workshop in Dalby Qld, providing a diesel fillting and boilermaking facility as well as field servicing to the Surat Basin and surrounding areas. Sharps also has another location at Rutherford, NSW supplying servicing and repairs.
