Santos

Its name is an acronym for South Australia Northern Territory Oil Search.

Santos' first discovery of gas was in he Cooper Basin in 1963. Today the Cooper Basin contains around 190 gas fields and 115 oil fields currently on production. Approximately 820 producing gas wells and over 400 producing oil wells that feed into production facilities at Moomba in SA and Ballera in Qld, through roughly 5600 kilometres of pipelines and flowlines.
