Perilya Limited was first established in 1987 , Perilya has a assembled a diverse portfolio of high quality base metal operations and exploration projects. In the company's rapid growth came the purchase of the Fortnum Gold Mine in Western Australia in 1994. In 2002 the company successfully acquired the most renowned Zinc, Lead and Silver mine in the world. Perilya has produced 540,000 ounces of gold from the mine, and in this success generated an operating surplus of more than $70 million up till the mine closure in August 2001.Broken Hill Mine has produced over 200 million tonnes of ore in the 127 years of mining history, this dating back to 1885.Perilya main resources are Lead, Zinc, Silver and Gold.
