OK Tedi Mining

Ok Tedi Mining Limited is a private company that dates back to the early 60's. Operating an open-pit copper, gold and silver mine located in the Star Mountains of Western Province in Papua New Guinea, the company holds a large portfolio of exploration leases in the vicinity of its Mt Fubilan mine and is actively undertaking exploration.

In 1969 the Mt. Fubilan Copper Gold deposit was discovered, following feasibility studies and proposals thereafter resulting in Ok Tedi Mining Limited incorporated as an entity to operate the project in 1981.
