New Hope Group

Established in 1952 in Ipswich with coal operations and the purchasing of Tivoli Collieries, Southern Cross and Haighmoor Collieries in the 1970's.

The 80's saw New Hope dispatch their first coal shipment to Japan and commenced operations at the Jeebropilly mine.

The Company was listed on the ASX in 2003 and wins several awards throughout the next decade including the "Excellence in Training in the Coal Sector" and "Most Improved Safety Management in Qld" for their New Oakleigh Mine.

Current coal projects for New Hope include New Acland in the Darling Downs and Jeebropilly mine near Ipswich. The New Acland is owned and managed by New Acland Coal which is a New Hope company and is expected to close in 2017.

In 2012 New Hope acquired 100% of Bridgeport, an oil and gas company with exploration permits in South West Queensland and two onshore exploration permits in the Otway Basin of South Western Victoria. Production is quite small currently at only 6,000 barrels per month but New Hope intends to expand over time appropriately.
