Lucas Drilling Service provides exploration and drilling services to the coal and gas mines. Lucas has many years experience in coal and coal seam gas exploration drilling activities including diamond core and rotary mud drilling.

Their rigs are capable of drilling vertically and horizontally and can reach depths of 2000 metres. Their fleet of rigs has both 60 tonne and 100 tonne rigs. Logistical and maintenance support is always on hand at their regional facilities and workshops, with a large facility to conduct major services, repairs and overhauls.

Lucas owns the largest fleet of drilling rigs in Australia and employ more than 630 staff.

Lucas can also help with well installations, commissioning and maintenance as well as the installation of surface infrastructure, monitoring systems and gas gathering projects.
