Gypsum Resources

USG Boral is a 50% shareholder in Gypsum Resources Australia (GRA) which owns and operates one of Australiaís largest economic natural gypsum resources. In early 2014, Boralís Gypsum came together with USG to form a 50/50 joint venture known as USG Boral. With close to 3,500 employees, USG Boral is a leading manufacturer and supplier of plasterboard-based wall, ceiling lining systems and accessories in Australia, Asia and the Middle East.

The Glebe Island terminal in Sydney is used for receiving and storage of shipments of bulk cargoes prior to despatch to GRA customers. Material is unloaded into wharf-based hoppers and then conveyed to a 35,000 tonne storage facility. Material is then delivered to GRA customers as required by road trucks.
