Gold Corporation

Gold Corporationís history started with the founding of the Perth branch ofBritainís Royal Mint in 1899, control was passed over to the Western Australian Government in 1970. Gold Corporation was created by the Gold Corporation Act 1987 to take over the operations of the Mint and to launch the Australiaís bullion coin program. Eventually outgrowing the old premises in the city of Perth, a new refinery was built near Perthís international airport which commenced operation in 1990. Gold Corporation has two wholly owned subsidiaries ñ the Western Australian Mint and GoldCorp Australia.

Gold Corporation, trading as The Perth Mint, supply precious metal products and services such as refining gold, silver and Australian legal tender bullion coins and precious metal depository products which aid investors to own precious metals without having to deal with the security, insurance and other issues associated with taking physical possession of precious metals.

The Perth Mint operates Australiaís only major gold and silver refinery.
