Earth Commodities

Earth commodities provides quality quarry products and high grade silica sand from their quarries and mine site. The company is based in Queensland, with Hard Rock Quarries in Gladstone and Mackay and the Coonarr Creek sand mine in Bundaberg.

Earth Commodities has been servicing clients quarry materials for over 30 years and employ over 50 staff members.

The company acquired the Coonarr Creek sand mine from Sunstate Sands in 2006. It was one of many sand mines and quarry sites that were part of a long term plan to build up a formidable group of independent pits and quarries able to produce quality materials for the world, national and local market.

The Coonarr Creek sand mine produces a pure white sand from its lower and upper levels. The sand consists of 99.8 percent silicon dioxide with small traces of iron and aluminium oxide. A feature of Coonarr Creek sand is that there is no sodium, potassium, magnesium or calcium present in the material. This makes it an international standard pure product.
