Diatreme Resources

Incorporated in 1993 Diatreme Resources is a Brisbane based diversified mineral explorer with a portfolio of mineral sands, copper and gold properties across Australia.

In 2004 the company secured numerous Eucla Basin exploration tenements in South Australia and Western Australia and in 2007, the Cyclone Zircon Deposit was discovered.

Diatreme's flagship mineral sands project is the Cyclone Zircon Project, located approximately 300 kilometres north of Eucla in WA. The project could be a viable heavy mineral sand mining operation if adequate water supply can be proven.

A feasibility study found the project could mine 10 million tonnes of ore a year for a total of ten years which would yield around 147,000 tonnes of heavy mineral concentrate annually.
