Centennial Coal

From Humble beginnings in 1989, by 1994 Centennial Coal was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange and was in the top S+P/ASX 100 company. Making their mark on the thermal and coking coal domestic and export markets.

In September 2010, Banpu Public Company took over and today Centennial is a wholly owned subsidiary of Banpu.

Centennial has over 1800 employees and seven mines operating in NSW and are also fuelling around 40% of NSW's coal fired electricity. With around another 40% of their coal being exported through ports at Newcastle and Port Kembla, going to power stations and steel mills in Taiwan, Korea, Japan and Europe.

Some of Centennial Coals current projects are Airly, Angus Place, Charbon, Clarence and Newstan, all with millions of tonnes of remaining coal reserves.
