Callidan Instruments

Callidan Instruments was founded in 2002 by a mechanical engineer and consultant to the coal industry. He patented a method of analysing moisture in bulk materials using microwave technology and was focused on the mining industry. Callidan and Realtime Group partnered and developed MoistScan and now cover a wide range of industries including mining, agriculture and building materials.

In many fixed plants that process materials or mixing raw materials together they rely on moisture to have the correct end product to sell so using MoistScan to monitor moisture levels, dust, calculate dry tonnage, or monitor dewatering plants with online moisture sensors are just a few ways this technology is used.
