Caledon Resources
Caledon Resources is a wholly owned subsidiary of Guandong Rising Assets Management (GRAM), a Chinese investment group who acquired Caledon Resources in 2011.
The Cook Colliery is an underground operation producing thermal and coking coal for export. Caledon acquired the Cook Colliery in 2006.
The nearby Minyango Project is expected to produce up to 9Mtpa of coal and is expected to commence operating in 2014 to coincide with the Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal in Gladstone.
Caledon own and operate two mines in the Bowen Basin, both located near the town of Blackwater.
