Astron

Mineral sands mining company, Astron is listed on the ASX and is incorporated under the Group's Hong Kong company Astron Corporation. It is focused on developing its two mining projects ñ Donald in Victoria, Australia, and Niafarang in Senegal, West Africa.

The Donald open cut mine was acquired in 2004 and contains one of the worldís largest zircon and titanium feedstock resources and has an expected mine life of 31 years.

Astron is planning on commencing production at the Donald mineral sands open cut mine in the first quarter of 2016. Construction and engineering work on the site is expected to take around two years with the ramp up to full production taking another 21 months.
