Anglo American

Anglo American's metallurgical coal business in Australia was formed in 2000 after purchasing Shell Coal.

Now being the second largest Australian metallurgical coal producer with six mining operations in Qld and NSW, including Capcoal, Dawson, Foxleigh, Moranbah North, Callide all in Qld and Drayton NSW and also Dartbrook which ceased in Jan 2007, this mine is now under care and maintenance.

Anglo American employ around 3500 employees with an additional 1500 contractors.
