Proudly Australian for over 175 years, dating back to 1841 when the first gas lamp in Sydney was turned on to being Australia's largest private owner, opeartor and developer of renewable energy and with over 50 companies in the AGL banner.

With wind farms in every state making up 30% of AGL;s renewable source. The Macarthur wind farm is currently the largest in the Southern Hemisphere and has been operating since January 2013. It cover over three properties, about 5500 hectares of cattle land, located near Warnambool in South Western Victoria.

Other farms include the Broken Hill Solar Plant, NSW, the Cooper Gap near Brisbane, The AGL Bluff, SA and Nyngan Solar Plant in NSW.>

For Thermal energy, AGL has the Dalton Power Project (gas), NSW, the Tarrone Power Project (gas) Vic, Loy Yang (coal) Vic and Torrens (gas) in SA, which is the largest power station in Australia.
