The Integra Mining Complex, in the Upper Hunter Valley Region, near Singleton in New South Wales, is operated by Intergra Coal Operations Pty Ltd. The complex includes an open cut and underground black coal mine incorporating the former Camberwell open pit and the Glennies Creek underground mines. These two mines have now been integrated into the one mining project.

Integra (Glennies Creek Mining Complex Produces 8.3 Million Tonnes of Coal Annually
The Integra (Glennies Creek) mining operation has authority to mine 8.3 million tonnes of black coal from the complex every year. The coal taken from the mines is treated on-site at the company's Camberwell coal handling and preparation plant from where it is taken by train to domestic and export markets.

Expansion Approvals at Integra (Glennies Creek) Increase Tonnage Capacity by 15 Million Tonnes.
The Integra (Glennies Creek) coal mining complex has been granted approval from the New South Wales state government to mine a further 15 million tonnes of black coal from the Middle Liddell seam. This extension of its mining operations has allowed the company to continue its existing activities within its mining lease parameters without interfering with the intensity of its mining operations generally.

Integra (Glennies Creek) Operation Owned by Vale Integra Coal
Both surface and underground mining operations taking place at the Integra (Glennies Creek) coal mining complex are owned by Vale Integra Coal, a company that has a presence in 37 countries around the world that has interests in mining copper and manganese as well as coal. It is also a prominent fertiliser manufacturer. The company is active in steel making, energy and logistics. Its Australian headquarters are located in Brisbane, Queensland.

Mining Began at Integra (Glennies Creek) in 1991
The high grade semi soft, semi hard, metallurgical coal mined at the Integra (Glennies Creek) mining complex is sold to the company's customers throughout the world. The mining operation also produces steam, or thermal, coal for power generation and steel making internationally as well as a variety of different uses. Open pit mining began at the Integra (Glennies Creek) operation in 1991 with underground mining following eight years later, in 1999.

Open Pit Mining at Integra (Glennies Creek)
The Integra (Glennies Creek) open pit mine is a medium sized operation of 1,900 hectares that employs 250 mine workers. It comprises a multi-seam operation which is mined via the usual shovel and truck method to produce thermal and semi-soft coking coal. The open pit fleet is made up of electric shovels, 26, 789 CAT rear dump haulage trucks, two Hitachi excavators and all the necessary support equipment. Coal mining is expected to continue at the mine until at least 2019.

Integra (Glennies Creek) Underground Operations
The Integra (Glennies Creek) underground mine is operated by means of a long wall method of mining that producers high quality semi hard coking coal for mainly export purposes. The underground coal seam has a thickness ranging from 2.5 to 1.9 metres and a resource of more than 200 million tonnes.
