Reporting to the Site Manager, Bis Industries is seeking a proactive and motivated Workshop Supervisor to join one of our operations in the Goldfields in Western Australia. This is a fly-in-fly-out position from Perth on 8 days on 6 days off roster.
Key responsibilities for this role include and not limited to: 

  • Demonstrate commitment to our goal of Zero Harm to both personnel, equipment and the environment 
  • Supervision of the mechanical work force with an emphasis on equipment availability and reliability
  • The application and continued development of an effective preventative maintenance programme; 
  • Provide leadership to the maintenance crews by developing short term work, resource plans (people & equipment) and meet targets consistent with agreed KPI's
  • Ensure the maintenance system is effective, well-co-ordinated, activities are carried out to manufacturer's specifications and to best practice
  • Participate in safety and communication meetings
  • Responsible input to repairs and maintenance costs 
The successful applicant will possess the following skills: 
  • 5 years' experience in the maintenance of heavy vehicle transport in multi combination trailer configurations, heavy mobile equipment and LV 
  • C class driving Licence
  • Heavy Diesel trade qualification; 
  • Proven and effective people management skills; 
  • Dangerous Goods knowledge advantageous; 
  • A firm understanding of quality control and quality assurance measures; 
  • Effective problem solving skills 
  • Able to act as a strong and positive example to the workforce; 
  • A high level of motivation and initiative
  • Positive safety attitude essential
  • Thorough working knowledge of WHSE
