Bis Industries is seeking a proactive and driven Site Administrator for our operations in Newlands, QLD.  Reporting to the Senior Site Administrator, you will primarily be responsible for providing effective and functional administrative support services to the core management team including the Site Manager, Administration Manager, and Supervisors at the Newlands operations in Queensland. In addition, you will ensure that all work and tasks are conducted in a safe manner, and that work practices minimise risk of harm to Bis Industries employees, plant and equipment and the environment. 
This is a permanent DIDO position driving in and out of Mackay, QLD or residing in Glenden QLD

Key responsibilities for this role include
• Answering phones and directing visitor queries, mail, filing and clerical tasks. 
• Accurately enter daily personnel hours and timecard data into the JDE payroll system 
• Ensure that payroll is finalised for weekly pay runs to occur on time every week 
• Maintain and update personnel payroll information as required 
• Ensure that payroll reports are reviewed and correctly authorised 
• Ensure all purchase orders are matched to invoices 
• Ensure all purchases have a purchase order raised prior to the invoice being raised 
• Maintain stationary orders 
• Process all necessary journals accurately for month end processing 
• Create accurate end of month tonnage client invoices 
• Generate daily client & production reports as required 
• Generate and process work orders on instruction from Operations Supervisor 
• Enter asset meter and kilometre readings daily or weekly based on site requirements
• Data collection/entry and reporting including updating of policies and procedures 
• Maintain employee files including personnel and training records 
The successful applicant will possess the following:  
• TAFE or Business College qualifications in Administration or other relevant field preferred 
• Demonstrated administrative skills in a high volume processing environment 
• Experience in inventory management (desirable) 
• Excellent time management skills 
• Strong Customer Service orientation 
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and enjoys working as part of a team. 
• Computer literate/sound keyboarding skills with intermediate knowledge of Window Office applications and operational databases 
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise multiple tasks 
• Good telephone etiquette 
• At least 3-5 years' experience in similar position 
• Ideally exposure to the Logistics, Mining or Resource industry
• Ability to complete a QLD Coal Board Medical
