Bis Industries is seeking an Electrical Maintainer / Operator to join its operations at Karara.  The role involves the maintenance and operation of fixed and mobile plant to ensure they are available as required to satisfy the production schedule of the Karara Mining TSF (Tailings Stacking Facility) contract.  This is a fly-in, fly-out position from Perth on a 2 /1 roster.
 
Key responsibilities for this role include:
• Demonstrate commitment to our goal of Zero Harm;
• Ensure maintenance schedules are carried out as per work order requirements;
• Ensure adherence to safe work practices and provide documentation as required to meet HSE, MSIA (mine safety inspection act) and client contract requirements;
• Inspection of plant both fixed and mobile to identify defects as per set inspection schedules;
• Conducting pre-start checks on all equipment prior to its use;
• Completion of plant electrical repairs and plant operation as required.
 
The successful applicant will possess the following:  
• Trade qualification - Electrical Fitter / Electrician (industrial);
• Qualification in HV (high voltage) switching operations;
• WA "A" class electrical licence / registration;
• Demonstrated post trade electrical experience, preferably in a Resources environment;
• HR licence, high risk fork lift licence and skid steer competency;
• Computer literacy and ability to maintain effective record keeping.
