Bis Industries is seeking an Operations Manager to join our operations at Nammuldi. This is a critically important role which is responsible for managing the commercial, operational and maintenance functions of our contract.  This is a FIFO role on an 8/6 roster, from Perth.
 
This is a complex site which will provide career defining challenges, whilst enabling you to stamp your own mark on how we execute our contracted commitments and tasks on site.

 Key responsibilities for this role include:
• Demonstrate strong commitment to our goal of Zero Harm to personnel, equipment, and environment;
• Proactive management of commercial, operational and maintenance functions of the business unit;
• Maintaining and developing an effective working relationship with the client, suppliers and other stakeholders;
• Monitoring and assessing WHSE performance of all employees;
• Ensuring identified risks are assessed, controlled and reported;
• Ensuring key business drivers are effectively communicated to all employees;
• Ensuring the business unit is achieving production/operational plans and KPI's;
• Providing effective leadership to the maintenance crews by developing short term work and resource plans (people & equipment) and targets consistent with agreed KPI's;
• Participate in safety and communication meetings.
 
The successful applicant will possess the following:
• Minimum 3-5 years operations management experience in the mining/haulage/logistics industry;
• Demonstrated effective leadership/people skills and exposure to contracting environment;
• Demonstrated commitment to safety with strategic leadership skills to ensure production targets are safely achieved;
• Strong working knowledge of OHS legislation;
• Strong financial and commercial skills - ability to understand financial impact of operations decisions;
• Able to act as a strong and positive example to the workforce;
• Mature and professional approach to all matters;
• Positive, proactive conflict resolution.
