Tasmania Mines Limited (TMM) own the Kara open pit mine at Hampshire in North West Tasmania. There they are involved in mining, crushing and concentration of scheelite and magnetite. Scheelite is exported to Europe and United States customers where its used in the production of specialty steel and in the lighting industry. Magnetite is used in Australia in our coal industry.
